Meditation Approaches

And another brainstorming topic:
meditation techniques.
I originally learned the Transcendental Meditation technique, which is a mantra meditation, which involves sitting for 20 minutes.
There are many other meditation techniques.
There is Vipassana meditation.

There's the Relaxation Response
There's also all the different mindfulness approaches. I really appreciated the book 'Full Catastrophe Living' by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
There are also many different yoga techniques which are in some ways similar, but perhaps more physical.
Research on meditation is also an interesting topic to be looked into.
To start, here's wikipedia:

Another mantra meditation is japa.
