Santa Cruz is a city in California. There are around 70,000 people there.
I was born in Bonny Doon but I grew up in Santa Cruz.
The Awaswas people lived there before Europeans. The Awaswas population living between Davenport and Aptos was estimated at 600 people in 1770.
I enjoyed the downtown with Bookshop Santa Cruz and some movie theaters. I worked a few summers at the Dream Inn. I didn't surf, but enjoyed going to the beach, swimming in the ocean and walking along the cliffs. I loved the redwood forests there.

i also loved Dr Seuss.
I went to Happy Valley Elementary School, Branciforte Junior High, and Harbor High School.
My Mom lived at 209 [[Mira Vista]] Drive, and my Dad lived at 700 [[Granite Creek]] Road.
I had some good friends in high school like Joe, Josh, Peter, Haynes, Lau.
Dad and Judy bought a house not far from Santa Cruz- 206 Townsend in Rio Del Mar.
